Job Summary:

NSEasy is seeking a dynamic and engaging Social Media Manager to develop and execute a compelling social media strategy that educates and engages our target audience. The ideal candidate will be passionate about financial inclusion and possess a strong understanding of the Nairobi Securities Exchange. This role requires the creation of informative and engaging content, active community management, and the ability to translate complex financial information into easily digestible posts for a broad audience.

Responsibilities:

Content Creation:
Develop and curate engaging social media content (text, images, videos) that aligns with NSEasy’s brand and mission.
Research and create informative posts about the Nairobi Securities Exchange, including key facts, figures, and investment insights.
Produce a minimum of 4 high-quality posts per week across relevant social media platforms.
Adapt content for the different social media platforms.

Community Management:
Actively monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions.
Respond to user queries and provide timely and accurate information.
Identify and escalate urgent customer service issues or feedback to the appropriate team members.
Foster a positive and inclusive online community.

Market Research:
Stay up-to-date on trends and developments within the Nairobi Securities Exchange and the broader financial market.
Conduct research to identify relevant content topics and engaging formats.
Track and analyze social media metrics to optimize content performance.

Brand Awareness:
Increase brand awareness of NSEasy and its USSD based services.
Help educate the general population concerning the NSE.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in social media management, preferably within the financial services or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to research and translate financial information into engaging content.
  • Knowledge of the Nairobi Securities Exchange and investment principles is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with social media analytics.
