Job Overview
Culinary Crossroads is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Social Media Assistant to amplify their online presence and share their culinary experiences with a wider audience. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, attention to detail, and a deep passion for social media trends, helping to position Culinary Crossroads as a must-visit dining destination in Nairobi.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the social media manager in developing and scheduling content for social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align content with brand goals and current promotions.
- Monitor and report on engagement metrics, providing insights and recommendations to improve performance.
- Actively engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and manage customer inquiries in a timely manner.
- Stay updated on social media trends, implementing new techniques to keep the brand’s presence relevant.
- Support content creation efforts, capturing high-quality photos and videos to highlight the food court’s unique offerings and atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in social media management, preferably within the food or hospitality industry.
- Strong familiarity with social media platforms and trends, with the ability to create compelling visual content.
- Excellent written communication skills, with a knack for engaging and brand-consistent captions.
- Experience with social media management tools and basic photo or video editing software (such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, etc.).
- A team player with a proactive mindset and a genuine interest in culinary content.
