GENZEN IS A CREATIVE COMMISSION PROGRAM THAT AWARDS A ONE WEEK RESIDENCY TO AMAZING GEN-Z TALENT
WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?
The ultimate goal of the residency is to empower Gen-Z creatives to explore and develop output that ignites creative inspiration and stimulates conversation about pressing social issues affecting Gen Z in Kenya and Africa.
Each creative-in-residence will have the opportunity to develop and market their unique talent in a stimulating environment, while maintaining complete ownership of their final output.
The talent selected will be given an opportunity to immerse themselves in their craft in an inspiring space that should transform their ideas into reality. The selected creative will benefit from a comprehensive package that covers all residency costs and provides a stipend for the week. Furthermore, they will also have full ownership of the final output.

Our February GenZen Residency topic is:
“Where Art meets Identity”
We’re seeking a passionate and talented painter to create an artwork that explores and expresses what it means to be a young Kenyan today reflecting the unique identity and experiences of Gen-Z
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must meet the following criteria
– Individual Kenyan Citizen aged 25 and under
– Ability to attend the residency from February 3 to February 7, 2025
– A compelling portfolio showcasing exceptional painting skills is essential
– Follow the Instagram pages of the GenZen partners

– Flights and Airport Transfers from anywhere in Kenya
– Kes. 20,000 stipend
– You will maintain 100% ownership of the output
– Various fun activities in Kilifi
