This role as Head of Marketing will lead the development and execution of our marketing strategy to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention. This role requires a deep understanding of the cryptocurrency market, digital marketing tactics, and a creative approach to building brand awareness and driving growth. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a passion for innovation in the cryptocurrency industry.

This role reports to the Chief Executive Officer and has direct path to becoming a member of the executive team.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to achieve business objectives, including customer acquisition, brand awareness, and revenue growth.
  • Lead a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive high performance and collaboration.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital advertising, social media, email marketing, content marketing, events, and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with product development and business development teams to align marketing efforts with product launches, feature updates, and strategic partnerships.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and customer preferences, and use insights to refine marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Manage marketing budgets, allocate resources effectively, and track performance metrics to optimize campaign effectiveness and return on investment (ROI).
  • Develop compelling messaging, positioning, and branding that resonates with our target audience and differentiates our exchange in the market.
  • Build and nurture relationships with media outlets, influencers, and industry partners to amplify our brand reach and enhance our thought leadership position.
  • Oversee the development of marketing collateral, website content, blog posts, whitepapers, videos, and other assets to support marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as customer acquisition cost (CAC), customer lifetime value (CLV), conversion rates, website traffic, and user engagement, and use data-driven insights to make informed decisions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies in the cryptocurrency space, and adapt marketing strategies accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant advertising regulations, data protection laws, and industry best practices in marketing communications.
  • Represent the marketing function in cross-functional meetings, providing input and insights to support overall business objectives and drive alignment across teams.
  • Present marketing plans, campaign results, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders, and gather feedback to inform future strategies.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned to him by the supervisor.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing roles.
  • At least 4 years in a leadership or managerial position.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Expertise in digital marketing channels and tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in marketing. 

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Master’s degree in marketing.
  • Experience in the fintech, finance/decentralized finance, financial services or cryptocurrency/ blockchain industry.
  • Deep understanding of the cryptocurrency market and blockchain technology.
  • Proven track record of successful marketing strategies in customer acquisition and revenue growth.
  • Creative thinking and innovation in marketing campaigns.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing channels such as PPC, SEO, social media advertising, and email marketing.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to take risks and drive continuous improvement.
  • Integrity, professionalism, and commitment to ethical marketing practices.
  • Proven experience of managing marketing team that includes, digital marketer, creative, social media marketer, community manager e.t.c.

 Priority will be given to individuals with a proven track record of pushing the envelope, thinking creatively and delivering world class software products.

Remuneration will be dependent on skills and experience, and we expect to be able to deliver an internationally competitive package, including health coverage.

Travel is expected.
