Job Overview
OBY Afrika is currently seeking a talented and experienced mural artist to join our team on a project basis. As a mural artist, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our dynamic creative projects by bringing African stories to life through captivating visual narratives. In this role you will,
- Collaborate with the creative team to conceptualize and develop mural designs that align with project objectives and client requirements.
- Execute mural projects from conception to completion, including site preparation, sketching, painting, and finishing touches.
- Ensure that mural designs are executed with precision and attention to detail, maintaining consistency in style, color, and composition.
- Adhere to project timelines and budget constraints, delivering high-quality work within specified deadlines.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and community members to incorporate feedback and ensure that mural designs resonate with the intended audience.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, following best practices for mural painting and installation.
We are looking for someone who has,
- Proven work experience as a mural artist, with a strong portfolio showcasing your artistic style and versatility.
- Proficiency in various mural painting techniques, including freehand painting, stenciling, and aerosol spray painting.
- Excellent drawing and sketching skills, with the ability to translate concepts and ideas into visually compelling designs.
- Knowledge of art history, cultural aesthetics, and contemporary trends in mural art.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work that exceeds client expectations.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, or a related field is preferred.
