Job Summary
We’re seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Operations Assistant to join our team! This hands-on role offers the opportunity to manage logistics across our café and roastery, handle green coffee sourced from across East Africa, and engage directly with our customers. You’ll be instrumental in supporting our growing business, taking on tasks like administration, event planning, marketing assistance, supporting our subscription clients, and helping to refine and automate our systems.
This position is ideal for a recent graduate eager to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic environment. We’re looking for a self-driven, passionate individual who loves learning—bonus points if you already have an interest in coffee!
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Supply Management: Help with managing roastery and cafe coffee beans stock, from receiving green coffee beans to organizing packaged coffee, ensuring we’re always ready to serve quality coffee.
Café & Roastery Operations: Work with the café team to prep orders, manage daily operations, track accounts, and handle inventory. Contribute to menu updates, administrative tasks, and drive improvements through inventory insights and sales reporting.
Customer Engagement & Sales: Be a coffee guide! Confidently engage with our diverse customers both in-person and through our CRM portal.
Event Planning & Support: Coordinate and support exciting coffee events—pop-ups, tastings, and workshops. You’ll play a key role in setting up, closing down, and gathering feedback to improve our events.
Qualifications
Growth-Oriented: Open to recent graduates; no prior experience required. This role is perfect if you’re eager to gain hands-on experience and grow within the vibrant coffee industry.
Eager to Learn: A strong desire to learn about operations, logistics, and coffee is essential.
Highly Organized & Self-Driven: Must be able to stay organized, manage multiple tasks efficiently, and take initiative, even in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Canva: Experience with Canva is a plus for creating marketing materials and visuals.
Team Player with Strong Communication Skills: We value teamwork and clear communication to ensure a smooth workflow and positive customer interactions.
