About AFD 2025
The African Forum on Displacement (AFD) 2025, co-convened by Amahoro Coalition, UNHCR, and Inkomoko, will gather distinguished leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders in Nairobi, Kenya, to forge collaborative solutions to the displacement crisis across the continent on April 28 and 29, 2025.
Building on the momentum of successful gatherings in Kigali and Accra, the aim of the AFD 2025 is to further galvanize the private sector, government, and civil society to address the complex challenges facing displaced populations in Africa.
In a world grappling with unprecedented displacement, the forum will center on:
Economic Empowerment
Exploring ways to unlock the economic potential of displaced communities by creating jobs, fostering entrepreneurship, and promoting financial inclusion.
Innovation and Technology
Leveraging technology to address the challenges of displacement, improve access to services, and empower displaced individuals.
Sector-Specific Partnerships
Identifying opportunities for collaboration between the private sector and displaced communities in sectors such as healthcare, technology, sports, agriculture, and renewable energy.
Empowering Youth
Exploring the role of youth in driving action oriented solutions to the displacement crisis.
